A Symbolic Tribute to the Father of Pakistan by Honoring Quaid-e-Azam in Tehran
For the first time in over 30 years, Tehran, the most populous city of Iran, placed posters of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah at every corner. Such a gesture, in fact, symbolized warmth and unity with Pakistan and its rich history.
The tribute was once part of the week-long commemorative activities organized by the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Cultural Institute (ECI), headquartered in Tehran. The events were organized in cooperation with the Urdu Language Student Union of Iran and the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran.
A Week of Cultural and Intellectual Engagement
The event started with a motivational keynote speech facilitated by Dr. Saad S. Khan, President of the ECI, in which he termed Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah a visionary leader. Dr. Khan mentioned Jinnah as an individual who held a central place in the unification of Muslims and guiding them to gain independence and independence. His words really struck a chord with the listeners, speaking to commonalities between the two nations.
The one-week application came with different versions of activities targeted at creating cultural and historical awareness by Honoring Quaid-e-Azam in Tehran:
