No room for communication says Atta Tarar on PTI negotiations

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar vehemently and angrily denied any continuous or scheduled negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in an Islamabad press conference. Dealing with the developing speculations on PTI leadership, government policies on political demonstrations, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he clarified

    “Non Talks, Noncompromise”

Atta Tarar called such claims of covert talks with PTI unfounded and refuted. “One moment they say they want dialogue; the next, they claim opposite,” he said underlining PTI’s inconsistency. Following rules established by Islamabad High Court, he underlined that any attempts to disturb peace in Islamabad would be greeted with strong reaction.

“Let it be clear: nobody will be spared; anyone who tries to cause disturbance will be arrested,” Tarar said angrily.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is an Area Under Crisis

Turning his focus on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the federal minister voiced dismay at the provincial government’s neglect of persistent problems including the regrettable death toll of 37 in Karam Agency. Tarar attacked the Chief Minister for giving rallies in Islamabad top priority over local issues first importance.

“While our soldiers sacrifice their life daily, the KP police are focused on participating in protests instead of combating terrorism” he said.

Emphasizing the efforts made by the Pakistan Army and law enforcement, he demanded better police training and a fresh focus on preserving peace in the region.
Political Inappropriate Behavior and Mistakes in Foreign Policy

Digging at PTI leadership, the minister exposed what he called destructive rhetoric and immature political games. Specifically aiming at former First Lady Bushra Bibi, he accused her of using words likely to sour Pakistan’s ties to Saudi Arabia.

“She doesn’t know about international relations, yet her comments could sour Pakistan’s friendships,” Tarar said.

Furthermore, he said, such acts only serve to reverse national progress and generate pointless conflict in foreign policy.

Protests in Islamabad is given a Stern Warning

Tarar said that demonstrations upsetting peace would not be welcomed while foreign delegations expected in the capital. He reassured everyone that the government would guarantee law and order to uphold Pakistan’s reputation on the international scene.
Either political party or anti-national, please? Moving forward, anti-nationalism will not be tolerated, he said sharply disparaging PTI’s policies.

A drama less than soap operas: PTI’s flaws

Stressing internal PTI division, Tarar compared party infighting to a badly written family drama. He said that the contradicting remarks of several groups expose a lack of cohesiveness.
One faction speaks; another responds differently. This is worse than third-rate dramas, he said, echoing the government’s contempt of PTI’s political validity.

In his last remarks, Atta Tarar advised PTI to focus on tackling actual problems rather than divisive politics. He insisted on respect of institutions and acceptance of the expenses paid by the national defenders.

“Though they are more focused on upsetting Islamabad, bodies are falling daily in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.

The press conference catches a federal government growing will to preserve stability among political upheaval. Pakistan’s leadership seems resolved in its aim to give national development top priority over political distractions as it addresses security and financial issues.

Islamabad on high alert shows whether PTI keeps its confrontational posture running the danger of public indignation and legal consequences or follows the warnings. The next days will show this.
