She dreamed of archery a game disturbing precision, strength, and control qualities she cultivated with sheer grit.

    Payal’s journey underwent a revolutionary turn when she encountered Coach Kuldeep Vedwan at the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Archery Academy. Under his guidance and specially crafted prosthetics, she began training. Though in no way having ever held a bow in her hands, her persistence saw her comprehend the game in file time.

    From Student to Champion Within Two Years

    What others spent years to master, Payal accomplished in just a few months. Her tireless exercise and doggedness brought her to the sixth National Para Archery Championship, the spot where she vastly surprised the world of archery through winning double gold. In a superlative performance, she even outshone her idol, Paralympic bronze medal winner Sheetal Devi, to solidify herself as an up-and-coming megastar in para archery.

    Not a person to rest on her laurels, Payal is now training for global championships, her sights set on bringing home gold for India.
