    PM Shehbaz Sharif urges stronger Pakistan-Turkey relations

    At a meeting with Irfan Neziroglu, Turkey’s ambassador to Pakistan, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged for increased Pakistan-Turkey relations with an emphasis on commerce, investment, and defense.

    The prime minister praised Turkey for its continuous assistance on the Kashmir issue and expressed happiness with the strengthening of bilateral ties. “Pakistan will continue to offer strong backing to Turkey for its core interests,” he stated.

    PM Shehbaz cordially welcomed the newly appointed ambassador and expressed his intention to collaborate closely to further improve Pakistan-Turkey relations.
    Additionally, he wished President Recep Tayyip Erdogan well and reaffirmed his request that the Turkish leader come to Pakistan as soon as possible.

    Ambassador Neziroglu reassured the Prime Minister of his dedication to bolstering the relations. Ambassador Neziroglu also discussed the regional situation, emphasizing Gaza and more general Middle Eastern developments.
