A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office stated that the prime minister will attend the November 11 Arab Islamic Summit in Riyadh. The Saudi government organized this summit, which comes after the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit that was held on the same day last year and addressed the Gaza crisis and other regional issues.
It is anticipated that prominent officials and leaders from OIC and Arab League member nations will attend. Pakistan’s steadfast support for Palestine will be emphasized by the prime minister. He will push for an urgent ceasefire, an immediate end to the carnage in Gaza, and an end to Israeli measures that continue to jeopardize regional stability. Pakistan would also demand international protection for Palestinians and the establishment of an independent state of Palestine with its capital at Al-Quds Al-Sharif and borders starting on June 4, 1967.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is anticipated to have bilateral talks with leaders of other Arab League and OIC countries during the conference. The prime minister will then go to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the COP29 World Leaders Climate Action Summit, which will take place from November 12–13. He will promote global climate justice and solidarity, based on the ideas of equality and shared responsibility, accompanied by senior officials, cabinet members, and Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister.
