ISLAMABAD: Telenor Pakistan earned recognition for its exceptional performance at the Telecom Cyber Security Awards 2024, organized by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). The prestigious event, held in Islamabad, honored Telenor Pakistan in Category I, which includes Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) and other large telecom operators.
This recognition follows a comprehensive audit and revalidation by the PTA. The PTA confirmed Telenor Pakistan’s outstanding adherence to the Critical Telecom Data and Infrastructure Security Regulations (CTDISR). Each year, the PTA evaluates operators based on their compliance with crucial security measures to protect Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure.
Khurrum Ashfaque, CEO of Telenor Pakistan, received the award from the Minister of State for IT and Telecom. The event brought together key figures from the telecom and tech sectors, including the Chairman of PTA, CEOs, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), and other industry leaders.
