Islamabad United have added Sahibzada Farhan to their squad for PSL Season 10. The defending champions announced his inclusion on Friday.
Farhan, who delivered record-breaking performances in the National T20 Cup, has joined the team as their 20th squad member in the supplementary category.
He began his PSL career with Islamabad United in 2018 as an emerging player. His domestic experience makes him a valuable addition to the squad.
Last season, he represented Lahore Qalandars. However, his incredible domestic performances in the National T20 Cup earned him another opportunity.
“We are delighted to welcome Sahibzada Farhan back as our 20th squad member for HBL PSL 10,” Islamabad United stated in an announcement.
Farhan played a key role in United’s second PSL title victory. His return strengthens the squad as they prepare to defend their championship.
Head coach Mike Hesson praised Farhan’s domestic success and emphasized the importance of building bench strength for a competitive tournament.
“Sahibzada’s consistent performances make him a strong option for the playing XI. He can step in and contribute whenever needed,” said Hesson.
Farhan went undrafted in PSL 10’s selection. However, his record-breaking run tally in the National T20 Cup caught the franchise’s attention.
He amassed 605 runs in seven innings, including three centuries, setting a new record for the most runs in a single season.
His stunning 162 innings* became the joint third-highest T20 score in history. He is now among the few batters with three T20 centuries.
