Meanwhile, the second semi-final features New Zealand against South Africa. This crucial match will be played in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium. The organizers have scheduled it for Wednesday, 5th March, starting at 2 PM PST. These are the Champions Trophy 2025 Semi-Finals Fixtures.

The winners from these matches will advance to the grand final. The championship match will take place on Sunday, 9th March. The venue is yet to be decided. India secured their semi-final spot by defeating New Zealand by 44 runs in their last group-stage match. This victory ensured their progress.

New Zealand must now travel back to Lahore for their semi-final against South Africa. Scheduling conflicts had previously required both teams to be in Dubai. In the match, New Zealand aimed to chase a target of 250 runs. However, India’s bowlers dismissed them for 205, preventing them from reaching their target.

Varun Chakravarthy delivered an outstanding performance, taking five wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs. Kane Williamson’s brilliant 81 runs were not enough. New Zealand’s captain Santner chose to bowl first. His decision paid off, as India managed only 249/9 in 50 overs.

Matt Henry led New Zealand’s bowling attack, securing five wickets for 42 runs. India initially struggled at 30/3 but recovered. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel’s partnership of 98 runs stabilized the innings. Iyer contributed 79 runs from 98 balls. Hardik Pandya’s late 45-run cameo helped India reach a competitive total. New Zealand’s bowlers tested India’s batting lineup effectively.
