PM Shehbaz Sharif Declares It’s Time for Concrete Action Against Terrorism

PM Shehbaz Sharif Bold Stand Against Terrorism: “The Time for Decisions Has Come”

In a powerful and emotional address during the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that Pakistan has reached a defining moment in its long fight against terrorism. Reflecting on the bravery of the nation’s martyrs, the premier asserted that the era of indecision is over — the state must now take concrete and final action to eradicate terrorism once and for all.

He said, “Our martyrs have drawn a line with their blood. Now, the time for decision has come.” His words echoed through the room, signaling a decisive shift in the government’s stance on national security and extremism.

Honoring the Martyrs: “Their Sacrifice Defines Our Destiny”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recounted attending the funeral prayers of Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Shaheed and Major Sibtain Haider, both of whom displayed extraordinary valor in the fight against terrorists.

“Lieutenant Colonel Junaid created a history of courage by killing 19 terrorists of Fitnatul Khawarij,” the Prime Minister stated. He further praised Major Sibtain Haider’s unwavering spirit and the resilience of the martyrs’ families, who expressed pride in sacrificing their loved ones for the homeland.

“These families are the true strength of Pakistan,” Shehbaz Sharif said, his tone filled with both sorrow and admiration. “They told me they would make every sacrifice for the country, and that courage defines the soul of this nation.”

The Afghan Connection: “We Will Not Tolerate Betrayal”

Addressing the origin of recurring terrorist activities, the Prime Minister pointed towards elements crossing from Afghanistan, labeling them as “friendly enemies” who attack the very country that once sheltered and supported them.

“These Khawarij come from Afghanistan and commit acts of terrorism,” he said sternly. “They are acting against the same country that honored them — this betrayal cannot be tolerated any longer.”

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that if terrorism is not decisively crushed now, the sacrifices of soldiers, the efforts of the government, and the nation’s progress would all be in vain. “The game of fire and water cannot continue. The time for half-measures is over.”

National Unity Against Terror: “240 Million Voices, One Mission”

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Pakistan’s 240 million citizens stand united in their desire to eliminate terrorism once and for all. “This is not the fight of a few; it is the fight of an entire nation,” he declared.

He reiterated his government’s resolve to ensure that the blood of martyrs does not go in vain, urging every institution and citizen to stand firm in support of national stability and peace.

Global Affairs: Trump, Gaza, and China

In a surprising revelation, Shehbaz Sharif shared details of his meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump, where Trump sought Pakistan’s help for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. “Trump told me he warned Israel that the West Bank will never be separated,” Shehbaz recounted, highlighting Pakistan’s role in promoting peace in the region.

The Prime Minister also praised China as Pakistan’s steadfast ally, saying, “China is a long-standing and highly valued friend that has supported us through every difficulty.” He extended gratitude to both President Trump and Saudi Arabia, calling his recent visit to the Kingdom “historic” and lauding the newly signed bilateral defense agreement as a milestone for Pakistan’s security and diplomacy.

    “The Nation Must Rise”

Concluding his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a clear message: Pakistan can no longer afford hesitation. The government, military, and people must unite to crush terrorism at its roots and secure a peaceful future.

“The time for decisions has come,” he repeated with conviction. “We must act — now — to honor our martyrs, protect our homeland, and ensure that Pakistan stands tall among the nations of the world.”
