KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi says he opposes all Terror Groups!
Pakistan’s got some security problems right now, and KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is making it clear where he stands: he’s not okay with any terrorism. He told reporters at the Karachi Press Club that his government doesn’t support any militant groups. He’s against all of them, including the TTP (aka Fitna al-Khawarij).
He’s saying this because things are tense. Some leaders are saying that KP isn’t doing enough and is letting terror incidents happen.
Setting the Record Straight
Afridi spoke up after Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said PTI was basically the TTP’s political wing. The military also said that KP’s government is partly to blame for the rise in terrorism.
Afridi says these accusations aren’t helpful. He says his KP CM opposition to terrorism is real, and that playing politics with this stuff hurts the country.
The KP chief minister said he’s willing to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif if he gets an invite. He said terrorism is a national crisis, not just a problem for his province, and the country needs to deal with it together.
Afridi said that KP is dealing with the most terror violence and that years of progress are being lost because things aren’t safe.
Owning Up to Past Mistakes
Afridi also brought up a touchy subject: when militants were moved into the province. He didn’t name names, but he suggested that decisions made in the past are still causing problems today.
He’s trying to be open and honest, saying that ignoring the past means things will just keep going wrong.
Let’s Decide Together
Afridi really stressed the need to work together. He said that to beat terrorism, we need:
- The provinces on board
- The national government involved
- Law enforcement
- Security forces
Afridi thinks that if everyone decides together – and KP gets a say – things will actually work. He warned that policies that are forced on the province without them being consulted usually fail.
The KP chief minister is saying that we can’t let disagreements get in the way of fighting terrorism. We need to trust each other and agree on what the country should look like.
Pakistan’s in a tough spot, and Afridi’s message is that we need to work together. Terrorism doesn’t care about political parties or provinces.
