Pakistani Girls Use Fog to Make Electricity With Their Nebulavolt Gadget

Pakistani Students figured out how to turn fog into electricity with their Nebulavolt Gadget

So, there’s this crazy fog in Pakistan during the winter, right? It messes everything up. But some bright students at TABS College in Hyderabad had an idea: why not use the fog? They came up with Nebulavolt, a way to turn fog into electricity. And guess what? They won the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan!

This isn’t just about winning something. It shows how if you mix smart thinking with caring about your community, you can really make a difference and build a better future.

    Nebulavolt: Fog-to-Electricity?

Basically, it’s a cheap and eco-friendly thing that takes fog and turns it into power you can use. Instead of seeing fog as a pain, they saw it as free stuff just waiting to be used!

It uses this special mesh to grab the tiny water drops from the fog. Then, something called triboelectric nanogenerators (yeah, I can barely say it either!) turns those drops into electricity.

The cool part is, it makes clean energy quietly and without needing regular power lines.

    Making Roads Safer

One of the best uses for Nebulavolt is on roads. Fog causes so many accidents, especially on highways. But Nebulavolt can power:

    • Streetlights
    • Traffic lights
    • Other safety stuff on the side of the road

So, it makes things brighter when you can’t see well, which means fewer accidents, even way out in the boonies.

    Smarter Cities, Greener Roads

Besides safety, Nebulavolt fits right in with this whole smart city thing. It cuts down on energy costs, means we don’t have to use as much of those nasty fossil fuels, and helps make our roads greener.

It doesn’t cost much to make, which is great for places that don’t always have good access to electricity. If cities use Nebulavolt, they can save energy and be nicer to the environment.

    Big Win in Karachi

The Enterprise Challenge Pakistan final was in Karachi on January 24. It was a big deal, with students from all over the country showing off their ideas. Some British big shot, Lance Domm, was there, and King’s Trust International and SEED Ventures helped put it all together.

Winning this thing shows that these students are not only smart but also have guts, know how to lead, and have that go-getter attitude.

    Girls Rocking Science!

Maybe the coolest thing about this is that it shows girls can totally crush it in science and technology. These students from TABS College prove that girls in Pakistan can come up with amazing ideas that can help the whole world.

They’re an example for other students to dream big, be responsible, and know they can make things better.

    A Clearer Future

Nebulavolt is more than just a gadget. It’s a glimpse of what’s possible: safer roads, smarter cities, and a cleaner planet. By using the power of fog, these young innovators have lit up a path to progress.
