Antique Vehicles Exhibition Take Over Frere Hall in Karachi

Antique Vehicles Exhibition at Frere Hall brought Pakistan’s car history to life even Quaid-e-Azam’s famous Rolls-Royce!

Frere Hall in Karachi just turned into a dream spot for car fans! They had a show of old and rare cars from all over, and it was awesome. The Antique Vehicles Exhibition at Frere Hall had everyone excited – car nerds, history buffs, and families all checking out over a hundred years of cool cars.

With cars from 1924 to 2000, it wasn’t just a car show. It was like a walk through time, showing off amazing car-making skills, creativity, and how Pakistan loves classic cars.

    The Star: Quaid-e-Azam’s Rolls-Royce

Out of all the sweet rides there, the 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost was the big deal. This car is super important to Pakistan because Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah used it back in the day when he went to sign Pakistan’s independence papers.

People were really wowed by how fancy and well-kept the car was. It was like the heart of the whole show.

    Keeping History Alive

Zulfiqar Shah, one of the people running the show (he’s also a big collector), said they wanted to put this show together because Pakistan has a ton of cool old cars, but no real place to show them off.

It started small, but it’s getting bigger every year. Last year they had about 100 cars, but this year they had over 120 antique and rare cars. More and more people are getting into it!

    More Than Just Cars

For people visiting, like Rahedeen Ali, seeing the cars was a super cool experience. She was stoked to see the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost up close and even peek inside.

Another awesome car was the 1966 Aston Martin DB6, owned by Faraz Latif. This fancy car was brought in back in 1967 by some big shot for the son of the former President. It’s got a bit of a crazy story!

    A Museum for Old Cars?

At the end of the show, the organizers said they want to build Pakistan’s first vintage car museum in Karachi. It would be a place to keep these amazing cars safe and show them off so everyone can enjoy Pakistan’s car history.
