Single Call to Prayer (Azan) has been decided to offer in the city of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
Lots of people seem happy about the government’s decision to try and set one standard time for the call to prayer (Azan) and prayers in Pakistan. They’re starting with Islamabad and Rawalpindi. This is supposed to bring Muslims from different groups closer and make things more organized.
It’s not every day that you see everyone agreeing on something like this. It shows that people can be united even if they don’t believe exactly the same things.
Everyone Talked It Through
The decision came after a big meeting led by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. What was cool about this meeting was that religious leaders from all different backgrounds were there, along with business people.
Instead of just telling people what to do, the government let everyone talk about their worries and ideas. Because everyone agreed in the end, the plan seems more likely to work since people feel like they were heard.
Prayer Schedule Coming Soon
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf says that they’re going to put out a schedule soon that shows the official times for the call to prayer and prayers. Mosques in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will use this to make sure they’re all on the same page.
Also, the Religious Affairs people are working on making this a law so it can be used everywhere in the country. If that happens, it could really change how religious stuff is handled in Pakistan.
Businesses are Helping Out
One good thing is that shop owners in the two cities are saying they’ll close their stores after the call to prayer. That way, workers and customers can go to prayers without feeling rushed.
This shows that people get that you can care about both your work and your religion. They can work together if everyone is willing to be respectful.
Starting with Friday Prayers
To make sure everything goes smoothly, the government is thinking about trying out the new system just for Friday prayers at first. Friday prayers are a big deal in Islam, so this will be a good way to see if the plan works, how people react, and if there are any problems.
If it goes well, they’ll use it for daily prayers and then spread it to the rest of the country.
Hoping It Spreads
Sardar Yousaf thinks that once Islamabad gets on board, other places in the country will follow. Other governments and religious groups might start doing the same thing, which could lead to everyone being in sync.
Really, this isn’t just about getting the times right. It’s about bringing people together, clearing up confusion, and being respectful to each other in the Muslim community.
Getting Stronger Together
Having one call to prayer and prayer time is a good move toward bringing religious people in Pakistan closer. The government showed a lot of sense by talking to everyone, being open-minded, and taking things one step at a time. That’s how you handle tricky religious stuff.
As Pakistan moves forward with this, it’s sending a message that being united isn’t about forcing people to do things. It’s about agreeing, understanding each other, and working toward the same goals.
