Sindh Rangers Arrest Terrorist Karachi: Most Wanted Suspect Nabbed
The law enforcement landscape in Sindh saw a major breakthrough this Thursday, February 19, 2026. In a precision-led intelligence-based operation (IBO), the Sindh Rangers arrest a terrorist in Karachi who had been on the “highly wanted” list for years. The suspect, identified as Dost Muhammad, was apprehended in the Gulistan-e-Johar area. He is allegedly linked to the notorious Fitna al-Khawarij group and has been hiding in the provincial capital to evade justice.
A History of Violence
Dost Muhammad, a resident of Bajaur, has been a high-priority target for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). According to a spokesperson for the Sindh Rangers, the suspect was a key player in a violent 2020 ambush in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Specifically, he was involved in firing upon the Assistant Commissioner of Nawagai. During that same assault, the group also set several pieces of government machinery on fire, leading to a terrorism case filed at the Malakand CTD Police Station.
After the 2020 incident, the suspect fled to Karachi. Authorities believe he used the sprawling metropolis as a hideout while coordinating with other terrorist cells. The Sindh Rangers arrest of this terrorist in Karachi likely thwarted upcoming plans to target sensitive locations within the city.
Inter-Provincial Cooperation
Following the successful raid, the Rangers handed Dost Muhammad over to the CTD Police Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for further legal proceedings. This arrest highlights the growing coordination between provincial security agencies in the fight against militancy.
“Raids are being conducted for the arrest of other accomplices,” the Rangers spokesperson stated.
Law enforcement agencies are currently scouring various parts of the city to dismantle the remaining network of the suspect.
Public Safety and Reporting
The Rangers have urged the citizens of Karachi to remain vigilant, especially during the busy month of Ramadan. To assist in maintaining peace, the public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity via the following channels:
-
Rangers Helpline: 1101

WhatsApp Madadgar: 0347-9001111

The Sindh Rangers arrest of a terrorist in Karachi serves as a stern warning to those attempting to disrupt the peace of the port city. With heightened security protocols now in place, the focus remains on neutralizing threats before they can materialize.
