The news was first shared by PBR CEO Sean Gleason, who posted on social media: “After dealing with an ongoing health issue, Dana White’s Twisted Steel has passed away peacefully in Texas.”
White quickly responded on Instagram, posting a heartfelt tribute to the bull with a photo and captioned, “RIP my beautiful boy.” Twisted Steel had earned a special place in White’s life, becoming the UFC President’s first major bull in PBR. The bull was known for his tough and rebellious nature, boasting an impressive 87% buck-off rate, with an average buck-off time of just 3.04 seconds. His dominance on the bull riding circuit helped him secure a spot in 36 events, eventually ranking 53rd in PBR standings.
Despite the loss, Gleason emphasized that Twisted Steel’s legacy could never be replaced. However, Dana White’s love for bull riding continues. White, along with his partner Dennis Davis, still has other bulls in their stable, including Sour Diesel and White Thunder. The two are committed to expanding their roster in the future.
Twisted Steel was particularly significant to White, as he was the first bull to make it to the Velocity Tour.
