    Asif Secures Historic Win at SAARC Snooker Championship 2025

    Mohammad Asif, the renowned Pakistani snooker player, won the 3rd SAARC Snooker Championship in Colombo on January 10, 2025. He defeated Sri Lanka’s Thaha Irshath in a dominant 5-0 victory. Asif’s performance was impressive, with frame scores of 99-3, 73-46, 85-38, 109-6, and 74-0, showing his skill and control over the game.

    This victory marks Asif’s eighth career title and solidifies his place as a top player in the region. He played exceptionally well, with three breaks of over 50 points and a highest break of 67 in both the first and last frames of the match.

    Asif’s achievement was widely celebrated in Pakistan. Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif congratulated him for bringing pride to the country. The Prime Minister particularly praised his success on the international stage.

    This win adds to Asif’s impressive career, which already includes three IBSF World Snooker Championship titles, won in 2012, 2019, and 2024. His continued success has made him an inspiration for snooker fans all over Pakistan.
