The Afghanistan cricket team has arrived in Lahore to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Under tight security, the team was escorted from the airport to their hotel. After a day of rest, they will begin their training sessions in Lahore tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s spinner, A.M. Ghazanfar, has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy due to injury. The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed that Ghazanfar suffered a fracture and will be out of action for at least four months.
In his place, reserve player Nangyal Kharoti has been added to the squad for the tournament.
On the other hand, Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman will not be participating in One Day Internationals (ODIs) until he fully recovers from his injury. Stay tuned for more updates on Afghanistan cricket team journey in the ICC Champions Trophy!
