In Sindh’s Naushahro Feroze District, a tragic accident on the M-6 Motorway claimed eight lives and injured 13 others when a van and truck collided.
The deputy commissioner, Arsalan Saleem, confirmed the casualties, stating that the van was returning from a wedding in Hyderabad. The injured, 10 of whom were in critical condition, were transported to Nawabshah for medical care.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah expressed his condolences and urged drivers to exercise caution. He also requested the National Highway Authority to improve lighting and signage on major highways to prevent such tragedies.
Bus Overturns on M-14 Motorway in Punjab
Ten Dead and 22 Injured in Attock
In Punjab’s Attock District, a bus overturned at the Fateh Jhang Interchange on the M-14 Motorway, resulting in 10 fatalities and 22 injuries. Rescue 1122 reported the accident at 8:08 AM, citing overspeeding as the probable cause.
The victims were taken to tehsil headquarters hospitals in Attock, while six rescue vehicles and 14 responders managed the situation. The bus was en route from Mianwali to Rawalpindi.
