Faisal Vawda Alleges Sinister PTI Conspiracy on May 9 Sentences
In a shocking political turn of events, ex-federal minister and Senator Faisal Vawda has levelled serious accusations against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), alleging the party is actively working towards implementing a “dangerous plan” with an ulterior motive of destabilizing the nation. Vawda stated that he will unveil this “planned conspiracy” in the next few days, sending shockwaves across Pakistan’s already volatile political horizon.
“A Stab in the Back” Vawda’s Betrayal Accusation
After the recent convictions of a number of PTI top leaders in the May 9 riots case, Vawda was not diplomatic in his criticism. The party’s ideological leadership betrayed their founder, Imran Khan, and sold Pakistan’s interests, he accused them of. “They’ve stabbed their own leader in the back,” Vawda said, asserting that the party is now more motivated by an appetite for power rather than principle.
He also cautioned that those who are trying to “harm the country” will eventually have to bear severe consequences. He did not name persons, but he referred to some evil people in PTI who, in his opinion, are engaged in promoting anarchy and disinformation.
Explosive Allegations Against PTI Leadership
In a bitter criticism of the existing leadership of the party, Vawda accused Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and others of defaming state institutions. Vawda opined that the current exercise of portraying PTI as a victimized political force is merely an attempt at a carefully thought-out strategy to create disharmony in the country.
Vawda also raised serious concerns over PTI’s internal political maneuvering, questioning how the party secured only five Senate seats instead of the expected eight. “This isn’t just a numbers issue there’s something deeper at play,” he warned, hinting at behind-the-scenes manipulation.
A Party Under Fire: The May 9 Sentences
Vawda allegations come at the time of a significant judicial setback to PTI. An Anti-Terrorism Court in Faisalabad just sentenced several of the top party leadership figures Omar Ayub, Zartaj Gul, and Shibli Faraz to a decade in jail for their purported roles in the violent May 9 protests. The cases, filed at Ghulam Muhammadabad and Civil Lines police stations, resulted in the conviction of 108 people, with 77 being acquitted.
Prominent among those acquitted were names like Fawad Chaudhry, Zain Qureshi, and Khayal Kastro. Other leaders like Junaid Afzal Sahi (3 years), Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Kanwal Shauzab, and some others, however, were given significant jail terms.
“Political Martyrdom” or Political Mayhem?
According to Vawda, PTI’s current actions are part of a long-term campaign to portray itself as a persecuted political entity. “They want to wear the crown of martyrdom, but it’s all theatrics,” he asserted. He promised to reveal more startling information especially about the nomination of Murad Saeed to the Senate once he returns to Pakistan.
A Nation Watching and Waiting
Faisal Vawda’s disclosure, if proven true, has the potential to dramatically change Pakistan’s political narrative. With the nation already embroiled in political instability and legal battles, the allegations introduce fresh tension into an already divided atmosphere.
Whether or not Vawda’s long-awaited revelations will confirm his assertions or merely fuel the flames is yet to be determined. One thing is for certain: everyone is waiting now to see what he reveals next.
