Henry Nicholls, a batter from New Zealand, praised the security measures in Pakistan, noting that the entire team feels really safe as they prepare for the five-match T20I series starting on Thursday.
The 2024 T20 World Cup is only two months away, and teams must finalize their squads for this significant event. The five T20Is that the Black Caps are set to play will be their last matches before the tournament starts on June 1. They need to figure out their best lineup.
In 2021, New Zealand withdrew from their match in Pakistan at the last moment due to security concerns. Since then, they’ve visited the country three times, and Nicholls mentioned that he has always felt safe here.
It appears we’ve spent some time there over the past few years. From the players’ point of view, we definitely feel secure. Pakistan has taken great care of us during our visits. “Every time I’ve visited, I’ve felt secure, and the security has been excellent,” Nicholls shared in an interview with the Times of India.
