ICC Women’s ODI Rankings March 2026 Update: Mandhana Reclaims No.1

ICC Women’s ODI Rankings March 2026 Update: Mandhana Reclaims No.1

The ICC Women’s ODI rankings March 2026 update has delivered a major shake-up at the pinnacle of international cricket. Following a high-octane series between Australia and India, new leaders have emerged in both the batting and bowling departments. India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has returned to the world No. 1 position, while Australian leg-spinner Alana King has achieved a career-first by topping the bowling charts.

    Mandhana’s Rise and Healy’s Farewell

In the latest ICC Women’s ODI rankings March 2026 update, Smriti Mandhana surged to 790 rating points. Despite India’s 3-0 series loss to Australia, her consistent scores of 58 and 31 were enough to displace South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt. This battle for the top spot remains tight, as Wolvaardt will have a chance to strike back during the Proteas’ upcoming series against New Zealand.

The series also marked the end of an era for Australian legend Alyssa Healy. In a fairytale finale, Healy smashed a sensational 158 in her final ODI appearance at Ninja Stadium. Consequently, she signed off as the world No. 4 batter. She finishes her 50-over career nestled between teammates Beth Mooney (3rd) and Ashleigh Gardner (5th).

    Alana King Ends Ecclestone’s Dominance

Perhaps the biggest surprise in the ICC Women’s ODI rankings March 2026 update is the change in the bowling summit. Alana King has effectively ended Sophie Ecclestone’s nearly four-year reign at No. 1. King was the standout performer of the week, claiming seven wickets at an average of 16.71. Her career-best 4/33 in the third ODI propelled her to a personal high of 775 rating points.

Australia’s bowling depth is currently unmatched, with five bowlers now featuring in the top eight:

    1. Alana King (1st)

    2. Ashleigh Gardner (3rd)

    3. Annabel Sutherland (5th)

    4. Megan Schutt (7th)

    5. Kim Garth (8th)

    Key Movers and All-Rounder Standings

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur also found success in the latest update. Thanks to scores of 53, 54, and 25, she jumped four places to re-enter the top 10 at ninth position. Meanwhile, Deepti Sharma remains the lone Indian representative in the top 10 for both bowlers (10th) and all-rounders (5th).

In the all-rounder category, Ashleigh Gardner continues to hold a massive lead with 516 points. She remains nearly 100 points clear of West Indies captain Hayley Matthews. As the multi-format series transitions into a one-off pink-ball Test in Perth, fans are eager to see if this momentum carries into the longest format of the game.
