NADRA Announces Enhanced Improved B Form for Children over 10
Taking the bold move to enhance security over identification as well as checking its misuse, NADRA-National Database and Registration Authority-has issued extensive upgrades in B Form especially designed for children older than 10 years. Under this new technology, the minors would have compulsorily obtain fingerprint and photographs.
Why has this been implemented?
From January 15, NADRA will start the phased launch of the improved B Form initially targeting youngsters of 10 years and below 18 years. This initiative fits into the wider national agenda aimed at addressing urgent issues such as:
- Fake Identity Cards: NADRA hopes to greatly reduce the possibilities of cast identities by incorporating biometric data.
- Forged Passports: Improved statistics series will make it almost impossible for unauthorized men and women to obtain passports through fraudulent means.
- Human Trafficking: Strengthened identification verification measures are going to be a game-changer in combating this global issue.

This transformative initiative is the culmination of a close partnership between NADRA and the Passport Department. The integration of high-quality Improved B Form for Children into respected archives reflects a shared commitment to enhancing countrywide protection and building trust in Pakistan’s identification systems.

It also provides for an easy transition among residents and ample time for families to adjust according to the new conditions. Details about the succeeding phases will be disclosed in due course, as NADRA plans to include more youth organizations of ages and other segments.
