What was supposed to be an electrifying evening of merengue music turned into a nightmare in Santo Domingo with the collapse of the roof at the legendary Jet Set nightclub during the wee hours of the morning. The disaster has so far claimed the lives of ninety eight individuals, including two ex-Major League Baseball players, and injured more than one hundred sixty.
