The National Junior Badminton Championship commenced on Tuesday at the Nishtar Sports Complex in Lahore, featuring intense matches across various age categories. The competition has attracted over 250 boys and girls from all corners of Pakistan, showcasing emerging talent in the sport.
Boys Singles U-15 Results
Ayaan Khizer of Punjab triumphed over Danish Ali, winning 21-16, 21-11. Ibrahim Raza also from Punjab defeated Mohammad Bin Nouman 21-13, 21-16. In another match, Usman Laeeq (Punjab) beat Zargham Ali (Islamabad) with a score of 21-8, 21-15. Ghazan Hadi of Balochistan won a close match against Muhammad Rehna Khan (Punjab), 21-17, 25-23. Fahad Hussian (Punjab) claimed victory over Faras Shahzad (Punjab) in a hard-fought battle, 16-21, 21-18, 24-22. Shaheer Ahmad (Punjab) secured a dominant win against Azan Kiyani, 21-15, 21-7 at National Junior Badminton Championship.
Boys Singles U-17 Results
Saad Ahmed (Punjab) defeated Syed Sabih Ahmed Shah (AJK) 21-17, 21-17, while Mohammad Ali (Punjab) beat Uzair Nadeem 15-21, 21-12, 21-10. Other notable results included Mohammad Ali (KP) overcoming Ahmed Zaman (Punjab) 21-18, 15-21, 21-15 and Abdul Rafeh Hayat (Islamabad) triumphing over Rehan Ali (Punjab) 21-13, 21-8.
Girls Singles U-17 Results
In the U-17 category, Sameen Faisal (Punjab) emerged victorious against Hamayal Aftab (AJK), 21-16, 21-17. Tasmia Uresh (Punjab) easily defeated Ayesha Malik (Islamabad) 21-12, 21-12. Dua Afaq (Punjab) also secured a comfortable win, beating Maryam Zaheer (Punjab) 21-17, 21-5.
Boys and Girls Singles U-19 Results
The U-19 category saw exciting matches, with Zain Bajwa (Punjab) defeating Ali Zain (Sindh) 21-11, 21-13. Ammrah Ishtiaq (Army) dominated her match against Hajra Ahmed (Punjab), winning 21-7, 21-4.
