    Shubman Gill Wins ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for February 2025

    Shubman Gill has won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for February 2025. He outperformed Steve Smith and Glenn Phillips for the honor. Gill delivered exceptional performances in February. He scored 406 runs in five one-day internationals, averaging 101.50 with a strike rate of 94.19.

    His contributions played a key role in India’s 3-0 series win against England. He registered three consecutive half-centuries in the series. The 24-year-old started with a composed 87 in Nagpur. He followed it with a steady 60 in Cuttack to strengthen India’s dominance.

    Gill ended the series with a powerful 112 off 102 balls in Ahmedabad. His knock included 14 fours and three sixes. His century earned him the Player of the Match award. He also received the Player of the Series honor for his consistent performances.

    Gill continued his form in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He helped India win their first two matches in the tournament. He smashed an unbeaten 101 against Bangladesh in Dubai. In the next match, he scored a steady 46 against Pakistan to secure victory.

    India won both encounters, strengthening their position as title contenders. Gill’s performances showcased his reliability in crucial matches. This victory marks the third time Gill has won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award. He previously won in January and September 2023.
