Imam-ul-Haq Named as Fakhar Zaman’s Replacement
Imam-ul-Haq, 29, who has represented Pakistan in 72 ODIs, was selected as Fakhar’s replacement after he was ruled out completely.
“The ICC Event Technical Committee has approved Imam-ul-Haq as Fakhar Zaman’s replacement in Pakistan’s squad,” the committee announced in an official statement.
Fakhar Zaman Shares Emotional Message on Social Media
The injured cricketer took to social media, expressing his disappointment. He stated that representing Pakistan is an honor for any player.
“I’ve had the privilege of representing Pakistan with pride. Sadly, I’m now out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025,” he wrote.
“But surely, Allah is the best planner. I’ll be supporting our boys in green from home. Pakistan Zindabad!” he added.
