Lhaze County in China Xizang shook with 5.5 magnitude of earthquake
At 5:11 am Monday, May 13th, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake shook Lhaze County in China Xizang Autonomous Region in the Southwest. The quake was previously reported at precisely 5:11 am, waking up residents wide awake however causing no reported damage, in accordance to initial assessments by the Xinhua News Agency.
No Deaths Reported, No Infrastructure Compromised
In spite of the magnitude of the quake, local officials have confirmed that there have been no deaths or injuries. Just as comforting is the integrity of public infrastructure water service, power grids, roads, and spoken communication lines all remain totally functional.
Emergency response teams have been unexpectedly deployed, making immediate evaluations in devastated areas.
