The fifth aid convoy, carrying essential supplies, has departed for Kurram amid tight security. The convoy includes food, medicine, and other relief items to assist communities in need.
Given the security concerns in the region, the convoy is being escorted by security forces to ensure a safe journey. This is a response to previous attacks on aid convoys in the area, including a deadly attack in November 2024.
Authorities have also initiated a “counter-terrorism operation” in Lower Kurram, with plans to set up camps for displaced families. Over 1,000 families are expected to be affected by the ongoing clashes in the district.
