Bill Hader is one of the fortunate few whose home in Pacific Palisades survived the devastating wildfires that have ravaged southern California. While his $4.2 million contemporary villa largely remained unscathed, many of the neighboring homes were completely destroyed.
The It Chapter Two actor, who bought the property in 2019, had to evacuate as the wildfires spread rapidly through his community. Despite the surrounding smoke and flames, Hader’s home was notably untouched, with trees and bushes remaining intact. This stark contrast stood out against the apocalyptic scene of destroyed properties and abandoned cars in the nearby area.
While Hader’s Pacific Palisades home remained standing, the inferno consumed houses just across the street. Several homes collapsed under the intense heat, and blocks of luxury residences along the Pacific Coast Highway were similarly devastated. His neighbor’s mansion was severely damaged, with thick smoke and flames engulfing the property, leaving its back half completely destroyed.
Los Angeles Fire Chief Anthony C. Marrone confirmed at least two fatalities and numerous injuries as high winds helped spread the fire quickly. Over 30,000 residents were forced to evacuate, leaving behind their belongings and vehicles.
The Pacific Palisades fire is just one of several wildfires currently sweeping through southern California, including the Eaton fire in Pasadena, which led to two deaths and the evacuation of a senior center.
Unfortunately, other Hollywood stars were not as lucky as Hader. Adam Brody and Leighton Meester lost their $6.5 million home, while other celebrities like Anna Faris, Anthony Hopkins, and Miles Teller also saw their properties destroyed by the flames.
