Crackdown on Begging Mafia: FIA Arrested 10 Fake Pilgrims

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a group of ten people who were trying to get to Saudi Arabia by pretending to be pilgrims.

At Karachi Airport, FIA customs officers stopped the group of Begging Mafia, which included seven women. When they were being questioned, the people couldn’t answer basic questions about Umrah customs, which showed that they planned to beg in Saudi Arabia.

FIA officials said the group didn’t have hotel bookings or enough money for their stay made things even more suspicious. The arrested people have been sent to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell to be questioned further and legal action will be taken later.

More and more people are worried that Begging Mafia is hurting Pakistan’s image around the world. To stop this, the government has made Umrah stricter so that these activities don’t happen in Saudi Arabia. To deal with the problem, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has proposed a number of steps. For example, Umrah pilgrims are required to sign documents saying they will not beg. If people don’t keep this promise, they will face serious legal consequences.

It’s also important to note that the government has put in place new rules about Umrah to fight the “begging mafia.”
Umrah tourists will also not be able to travel alone; they will have to travel with others. This rule is meant to make people more responsible and less likely to beg. Tour companies will have to get affidavits from pilgrims, which means they will have to follow compliance standards.

Different sources say that these steps show that the government is serious about dealing with this problem. Since the increase in begging has hurt Pakistan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia.
