For Better and Improved Medical Treatment, Punjab Hospitals are getting Body Cameras
Big changes are coming to Punjab’s public hospitals. The government’s trying to fix things like not being able to trust them, workers who don’t care, and things not working well. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is saying enough is enough – no more messing around when it comes to taking care of people.
Tech to Keep People Honest
One big thing: some hospital workers (guards, nurses, etc.) will wear body cameras. This is to make sure everyone’s doing what they’re supposed to, and to have proof if there’s a problem. The idea is that patients are treated well, and staff are responsible for what they do.
Also, doctors and nurses can’t use their phones when they’re working. The government thinks less phone time means they’ll pay attention to patients more, especially when things are crazy.
Hospitals need to be way cleaner. Every day, they have to steam clean everything before 9 am. This should stop infections from spreading and make the hospitals as clean as they should be.
Better Medicine and Equipment
Even though Punjab spends a lot on medicine, sometimes hospitals run out. To fix this, they’re making sure the medicine supply is steady. And, they’re getting a new list of medicines that are actually what doctors need today.
Plus, hospitals can now buy medical equipment from China. It’s cheaper, but still good stuff, so they can give patients better care without spending too much money.
Rewarding Good Workers
The people in charge of hospitals will get paid based on how well the hospital does. If they make things better, they get more money. If not, then it won’t be good.
To keep an eye on everything, the government will have a special center that looks at all the data. They’ll see what’s working and what’s not, so they can make better choices.

The Chief Minister is serious. If people aren’t doing their jobs right, they’re out.
