    Foreign Couple Robbed in Sindh

Cyclists’ Tour Turns Sour, Foreign Couple Robbed in Sindh, Pakistan

In a shocking incident that brings into focus the risks faced by travelers, a Polish-French couple on a bicycle trip through Sindh’s Thatta district was robbed. Kowalczyk Jakub Tomasz from Poland and Scantamburlo Marie Elisabeth from France were traveling across Pakistan on bicycles when the crime occurred near Sajawal bypass. Their mobile phones were taken, leaving them shaken but unharmed.

The couple, who have impressively cycled through ten countries in their adventurous tour, had made a camp nearby the ancient Makli graveyard during their neighborhood heritage sites tour. Despite the varied terrains and regions that the ride passed through, they met an unsettling breach of security at some point in their stay in Sindh.

The robbers centered them at some point of their visit, stealing crucial property and developing an alarming state of affairs for the couple. Local police at once registered a First Information Report (FIR) and initiated an investigation to carry the perpetrators to justice.

Sindh’s Home Minister, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, immediately took note of the incident and directed regulation enforcement groups to speed up their efforts in catching these culprits. “The safety of tourists, mainly those coming from abroad, is paramount,” he said, asking for swift motion to make certain such incidents do now not discourage vacationers from exploring the area’s rich historical past and tradition.

This is now not the first time foreign visitors have been focused in the province. Similar cases of robberies have been documented, particularly in Karachi. Such incidents point out the need for better security measures to protect tourists and maintain Sindh’s popularity as a tourist-friendly place.

As authorities try to unravel the case, the story of the couple reminds each one of the challenges and rewards of world travel. Though this experience was a setback, it was a testament to resilience and the spirit of adventure. Let’s hope that the swift motion promised by nearby officers restores their belief in the hospitality of the region.
