Lahore Airport Officials Confiscate 37 iPhones Worth Millions
Allama Iqbal International Airport Customs officials successfully scuttled smuggling attempt and confiscated 37 iPhones, valued at surprising Rs11.5 million. The incidence was in regard to a passenger coming from Sharjah, Umar Farooq who was previously caught because of a tactical tip-off from Customs Collector Tayyba Kayani.
A vigilant move by custom crew
The vigilant customs crew busted the graph during a visitation of activities, a testament to their commitment toward the curbing of such illegal activities. This counts as every other fulfillment in a series of successful operations, as similar busts involving iPhones and gold had been reported for October and November this year.

Collector Customs Tayyeba Kayani said in a statement that her team’s vigilance and swift motion were appreciated, reiterating their commitment to combat smuggling things to do and ensure the safety of the country’s monetary interests.
“We remain committed to eliminating unlawful trade, and this operation is a testimony to the dedication of our officers,” she said.
While, after the incident towards the air hostesses deputed to flight PK-204 from Dubai to Lahore, the concerned crew members have been suspended forthwith by the airline under the strict policy adopted by PIA against the wrongdoings of employees.
