CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurates a Minority Card Project and Celebrates Christmas with the Christian Community
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif re-emphasized her vision of peaceful, inclusive, and rich Punjab while speaking at a Christmas party in Lahore’s Church House of Prayer. She expressed that she would strive for making a society where minorities could feel safe, valued, and supported.
We are building a Punjab which everyone, regardless of his belief, lives without fear,” the chief minister said. “It’s a delight when festivals like Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Holi, and Baisakhi are celebrated together by all, reflecting unity”, he said passionately.
Innovative Development: Minority Card Programme INCEPTION
CM Maryam Nawaz inaugurates a Minority Card to lift the deprived minority communities of the province. The ‘Minority Card’ is a plan that will be implemented by early 2025. The minority card will provide quarterly economic assistance to the deprived. This application is going to ensure that minorities lead their lives with dignity and enjoyably.
Warm Greetings and Precious Memories
She extended warm greetings to the Christian locality on Merry Christmas, telling them something of her own private bonding with their celebrations. Looking back at her time in the Convent of Jesus and Mary, she recalled with nostalgic relish Christmas carols and celebrations.
“I am profoundly touched with the help of your devotion and team spirit today. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also sends his warmest regards, often reminding us of the Quran’s established message of inclusiveness,” Maryam shared.
Acknowledging contributions and increasing support
Maryam Nawaz Sharif acknowledged the immense contributions of the Christian neighborhood to Pakistan’s march towards progress. To serve and empower them, she initiated a huge 2 hundred percent enhance in their improvement funds, hoping for even more to come.
“This is no longer charity; it’s your right. Just as a mom cares for all her children, the authorities have to make sure equal therapy for each and every citizen,” she said.
A Sweet Gesture of Solidarity
In a tender act, CM Maryam added 10,000 Christmas desserts to the event, reflecting her appreciation and love for the Christian community. “This small gesture displays my love and admiration for you,” she said as attendees celebrated the event with jubilation.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif wrapped up her speech with a strong message of solidarity: “My office, my home, and my heart are always open to you. Together we will continue working for a Punjab that celebrates diversity and sees well-being for all.”
