    PIA and AirBlue Gain Direct Flight Access to Europe

    The airline business and the PIA lose more than Rs. 450 billion every year because of limits on travel in Europe.

    The airline industry as a whole and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in particular have lost more than Rs. 450 billion in the last four and a half years. These losses are a direct result of European countries putting limits on travel.
    Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has lost about 220 billion rupees, according to sources in the Privatization Commission. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says the industry as a whole has lost about 250 billion rupees. Pakistani airlines that fly in the skies of the European Union (EU) have been limited, which is the main cause of these losses.

    Besides that, AirBlue can now offer direct trips to Europe.

    European planes were recently brought back, which is seen as a big step forward in PIA’s attempts to privatize its business. PIA and AirBlue Gain Direct Flight Access. These days, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) officially lifted the ban that had been put on PIA’s flights. Nadir Shafi Dar, who is the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), also said that Airblue has been given permission to work as a Third Country Operator (TCO).
    PIA and AirBlue Gain Direct Flight Access. Sources say that plans are also being made to set up routes again in the UK soon. It is being worked on to recover the standing of the Philippine Airlines (PIA) before the privatization of the airline is finalized.
    According to sources, talks are now going on to privatize PIA in line with a government-to-government (G2G) deal.
