LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has established an eight-member committee to oversee the allocation of free plots to eligible citizens. This initiative aims to provide relief to underprivileged segments of society and address the housing crisis in the province. The committee, led by senior government officials, will ensure transparency in the process and develop comprehensive guidelines for selecting beneficiaries. Priority will be given to widows, orphans, and low-income families in line with the government’s welfare policies. This program reflects the provincial government’s commitment to improving the living conditions of vulnerable communities. The initiative has been widely welcomed but also faces questions regarding its implementation and funding.
