Government loosens school dress code rules for winter
ARY News reported that the Sindh government stated a big relief for school kids and their parents across the province: the dress code will be less strict in the winter.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah told the Directorate of Private Institutions to send a letter to school administrators telling them to let their students wear any warm clothes during the winter.
The letter told the students they could wear their own winter clothes. Before, they could only wear warm clothes that followed the dress code set by the school management.
During the cold weather, the Sindh Education Department told schools to take steps to protect kids’ health.
The department told schools in a letter that they should let students wear warm clothes whenever they want. This will make sure that they are comfortable and healthy during the winter.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Education Department had already said that all schools in the province would be closed during the winter.
From December 22 to December 31, schools in plain areas will be closed. From December 22 to February 28, schools in high areas will be closed.
Winter break has started in Balochistan. Schools, colleges, and universities in cold areas, like Quetta, will be closed until February 28. From January 1 to January 10, people who live in warmer parts of the province will have a 10-day winter break.
For the safety and comfort of students and workers during the winter, this choice has been made.
