The Sindh Police have made headlines for their swift action in recovering and returning mobile phones to a Polish couple who were robbed in Sujawal. The couple, Kowalczyk Jakuo Tomasz and his wife, Scantamburlo Mae Elisabeth, were on a cycling journey through ten countries when they became victims of theft.
The robbery occurred on December 29, 2024, near the Sujawal-Badin bypass. While traveling, the couple was approached by three armed men who stole their belongings, including two iPhones and about Rs 72,000 in cash.
In response, the Sujawal police quickly launched an investigation, using CCTV footage and modern tracking technology to identify the culprits. Within just three days, they arrested a suspect, Nadeem Obaro, and recovered the stolen items.
The mobile phones were returned to the couple in Lahore, and they expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Sindh Police and the people of Pakistan for their hospitality and support during their journey.
This case highlights the dedication of law enforcement in ensuring the safety of both locals and tourists. It underscores the importance of prompt and effective action in maintaining public trust and security.
