The Pakistan’s showbiz industry, which once enjoyed great success, is now grappling with severe challenges. Actor Saud recently shed light on the reasons behind Lollywood’s decline, pointing the finger at renowned actor Shaan and filmmaker Syed Noor. According to Saud, these two individuals are primarily responsible for the damage done to the industry.
“While several filmmakers and actors have contributed to the downfall, Syed Noor and Shaan are the main names who have inflicted the most harm,” Saud remarked. He further added that legendary actor Sultan Rahi’s actions also played a role in the industry’s demise. Saud explained that Rahi, in his prime, often neglected the professional technical crew and began taking on tasks meant for makeup artists and other staff.
“Whenever Sultan Rahi filmed a scene where he was shot, he didn’t rely on the makeup artist. Instead, he would apply the blood color himself and proceed with the shoot.”
Saud acknowledged that his own generation of actors and filmmakers also contributed to Lollywood’s downfall. “We all played a part in ruining this industry. If Shaan and Syed Noor had been more sincere, the situation could have been different,” he added.
“Shaan should first look inside himself and address the flaws within, instead of constantly searching for faults in others.”
Once vibrant with activity, the Pakistan’s Showbiz Industry, primarily centered in Lahore, has now shifted to Karachi. However, questions remain about how long the industry will continue to face this crisis.
Lollywood’s story serves as a reminder that recognizing one’s own shortcomings and supporting each other within the industry is crucial. Otherwise, history will judge us all.
