The Homicide Case of 10 Year Old Child Killing One Year Old Child

Innocence Chants echoed in Waheed Colony, Rawalpindi where 10 Year Old Child murdered 1 year old cousin

In a unimaginable tragedy of Waheed Colony, Rawalpindi, the city was once left agog after a 10-year-old child was seen responsible for the murder of his one-year-old cousin. The case, now widely termed the Rawalpindi infant homicide case, has evoked essential questions regarding juvenile psychology, parental supervision, and community consciousness.

The victim, Maryam, had been proposed to be lacking under seemingly normal conditions. Her grandmother, Musarrat Bibi, said the baby was once playing outside with other youths when she suddenly disappeared. The event that began as a suspected kidnap soon escalated into a dastardly tale beyond imagination.

A Crime Hidden in Plain Sight

When Maryam was once first reported missing, her family was once devastated and suspected abduction. Without any latest image to draw on the search, the investigation was initiated under the presumption of kidnapping. A formal FIR was once filed, and local police started massive search operations around the area.

But what the family should never have thought was that the man or woman responsible was once no stranger, but any one within their own family. The turning point came when CCTV images of the area released 10-year-old Azan Akhtar, Maryam’s cousin, with the baby towards a nearby drain. Shortly afterward, he returned alone.

When taken into custody, Azan admitted to the unimaginable: he had hurled the one-year-old into the drain because he “didn’t like her.” His cold-bloodedly cavalier statement sent shockwaves through the investigating officers and the general public.

    From Search to Crime Scene

The CCTV images forced the police to change the direction of their inquiry. What initially had been a promising search turned into a homicide investigation. The rescue team retrieved Maryam’s lifeless body from the drain after hours of effort, and an autopsy test confirmed the cause of death.

SP Rawal Muhammad Haseeb informed the media, recognizing the challenging nature of the case. “It is quite distressing and shakes one to the core. The toddler confessed apart from remorse,” he said.

The FIR was previously without delay brought up to date to include charges of homicide, and since the boy was below age, the court ordered his transfer to the Child Protection Bureau. Legal legal cases will follow in accordance with juvenile justice guidelines.

A Wake-Up Call for Families and Society

This tragic event has prompted a larger discussion on toddler behavior, emotional intelligence, and the desire for early psychological evaluations. Experts recommend that even adolescents as young as 10 Year Old Child Azan might also trigger unresolved emotional or conduct issues that can spiral beyond constructive guidance. The punishment in this instance had been horribly fatal.

The Rawalpindi baby homicide case reminds us morbidly that evil would not always wear the face we anticipate. An instant of unchecked hatred, ignored, killed an innocent lifestyle and disfigured a family forever.

While the community laments tiny Maryam, the spotlight must now be directed toward prevention. Educating and leading child’s emotional development is no longer merely required it’s a necessity.
