People in Tirah Valley Maidan area are getting ready to leave starting January 10 for a security purpose
Tirah Valley a tough place, and it’s back in the news. Starting January 10, families in Maidan will be moving out as the government gears up for a security thing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber district.
This move is huge. It shows how serious security is and how determined the government is to bring peace back.
When and How?
The moving thing is going from January 10 to January 25. People are already signing up at Paindi Cheena. They want to make this as smooth as possible for everyone.
About 130,000 people live in Maidan, so this is a big job. They’re trying to keep people safe while the security forces prep.

Money and Homes
The government’s giving money to help people out. Families that have signed up that’s over 2,500 so far have already gotten Rs250,000.
Plus, each family moving gets Rs50,000 a month to find their own place to stay. They’re trying to give people choices, not just stick them in camps.
If anyone’s property gets wrecked during the operation, they’ll get money. If your house is totaled, you get Rs3 million. If it’s just beat up, you get Rs1 million.
This is a big deal for keeping people happy, especially since this area’s seen a lot of fighting before. It gives people a little peace of mind.

How Long? When Do We Go Home?
They think the anti-militant thing will be done in two months. If everything goes to plan, people can start heading back around April 5.
Knowing when they can go back home is huge, because being away for too long can mess things up. The government says they’ll start fixing things up as soon as it’s safe.
Trouble in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
All this is happening because there’s more violence in KP. Things were rough in 2025, with terrorist stuff way up compared to last year.
The military says most of the terrorist incidents in 2025 happened in KP, because it’s easy to cross over from Afghanistan.
Moving Out, Hoping For the Best
Moving’s never easy. It’s hard on people. But a lot of folks in Tirah are hoping this will finally bring some peace to the area.
As families get ready to leave, the big question is whether this operation will actually make things better and how fast people can get back to a safe Tirah.
