A Cricket Day Becomes Mourning
The accident occurred at some point during a two-day healthy when Khan, in the middle of his spell, suddenly fell on the pitch. Match umpire Inamullah Khan, who was once refereeing the match, remembered the haunting moment:
“Aleem fainted while bowling. We immediately summoned scientific help and rushed him to hospital, but unfortunately he did not survive.”

Director of Domestic Cricket for the Pakistan Cricket Board, Abdullah Khurram Niazi, extended deepest sympathies to the mourning family:
“We are deeply saddened by way of the passing of Khan. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his household all through this hard time.”
The early death of Aleem Khan left coaches and team members heartbroken, most of whom saw him as a hopeful Genius with potential to push his way through ranks of national cricket.
Buried in Hometown
Sources within his family tested that Khan was laid to rest in his native Bannu, where thousands had convened to pay respects to the dead sportsperson. Social networking has already been awash with messages of condolences, with cricket enthusiasts grieving a life and career brought tragically cut short.
