Google launched a new initiative called the AI Academy to support the growth of artificial intelligence startups in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, according to a press release issued on Monday.

The program aims to encourage cross-border innovation and collaboration. It will help facilitate the exchange of ideas, expertise, and resources, speeding up AI solution development and positioning the APAC region as a global hub for AI, Google’s PR agency noted.

Google for Startups is bringing together over 20 AI-focused startups through the AI Academy to nurture their growth and enhance their technologies. Participants will receive personalized guidance from Google’s global AI experts. They will also gain access to Google Cloud Credits of up to $350,000 to support AI development and experimentation. Additionally, the program provides opportunities for startups to network and collaborate with other AI ventures in the region.

Google emphasized that the AI Academy aims to accelerate the startups’ journey to market. The program will help them create a proof of concept and product roadmap, quickly validating their AI solutions. This fast-tracked approach will not only expedite their success but also demonstrate the real-world value of their innovations.

Applications for the program will be accepted until August 16, the press release concluded.
