The second T20I between Pakistan and South Africa is currently underway at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first, but the visitors lost their captain, Mohammad Rizwan, early in the innings.

Pakistan’s Strong Start Despite Early Setback

After Rizwan’s dismissal, Saim Ayub and Babar Azam took charge, continuing to play an aggressive brand of cricket. As of the latest update, Pakistan is 102/1 after 10.3 overs, with Ayub and Babar forming a solid 86-run partnership for the second wicket.

Babar Azam Shows Aggressive Intent in the 2nd T20I

Babar Azam has looked in tremendous form right from the start. The Pakistani opener began his innings with two consecutive boundaries and is currently unbeaten on 31 off 19 balls, which includes three fours and one remarkable six. The highlight of his knock came when he hit a massive 91-metre six, sending the ball out of the ground.

Babar Azam Clears the Roof with a 91-Metre Six

In the 8th over, Babar took on South African bowler Peter and launched a 91-metre six that soared over the roof of the SuperSport Park stadium. Play was briefly halted as the umpires waited for the ball to be retrieved.

Babar Azam Reaches 11,000 T20 Runs Milestone

That impressive six also saw Babar Azam reaching a significant milestone—11,000 T20 runs. With this achievement, he became the 11th player in history to surpass the 11,000-run mark in T20 cricket. He is also the second Pakistani batsman, after Shoaib Malik, to reach this remarkable feat.

Looking Ahead: Babar Azam’s Next Target

This milestone came in Babar’s 309th T20 innings, making it even more special. Now, the Pakistan captain sets his sights on Shoaib Malik’s record of 13,415 T20 runs, a benchmark he will undoubtedly aim to surpass in the coming matches.

With his continued aggressive play, Babar Azam is proving to be a pivotal figure in the ongoing match against South Africa.
