LCWU Students Get the Scoop on Global Knowledge By British Council Library Session

Leveling Up Academic Skills – British Council Library Session at LCWU for Global Knowledge

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) is always trying to find ways to make learning better and connect with the world. That’s why the Department of Applied Psychology teamed up with the Main Library to put on a session about the British Council Library. The goal? To get students up to speed on the research tools they need to kill it in today’s school scene.

    Big Shot Alert

The main lady at LCWU, Prof. Dr. Uzma Quraishi, showed up to support the cause. She made it clear that libraries aren’t just dusty old book storage; they’re alive and kicking hubs for learning. Her being there just shows how serious the school is about helping students become smart, research-focused, and ready to take on the world.

    British Council’s Wisdom

Ms. Hurmat Riaz from the British Council was the star of the show. She dropped major knowledge bombs about getting the most out of libraries, using online research tools, and cool stuff that top schools are doing across the globe.

Ms. Riaz told everyone that libraries can help you think for yourself, learn on your own, and do killer research. She also walked students through the British Council Library’s sweet digital resources, online stashes of info, and global research networks, pushing them to go beyond the usual textbooks.

Knowledge is Power especially for the psych students

The session was a real eye-opener, especially for the psych students. It tackled the problems that students face when doing research, like being bombarded with too much info and not knowing where to look. With real examples and conversations, students learned how to find good sources, sharpen their research skills, and use the library like pros to get better grades.

Students walked away feeling pumped, ready to rock their studies and meet those international standards.

    Thanks, Boss Lady!

The event wouldn’t have happened without Prof. Dr. Amina Muazzam. She had the idea to bring everyone together. She’s all about making learning awesome for students by getting them exposure to what’s happening worldwide.

    Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

The British Council Library session at LCWU is a perfect example of how schools can make learning better by teaming up. These kinds of sessions don’t just fill students’ heads with knowledge; they create a vibe of always learning, aiming for the best research, and knowing what’s going on around the world.

    Learning That Sticks

As college changes, events like this one are super important for to get kids ready for school and work stuff outside the classroom. This session is just the start for even more partnerships and sharing ideas at LCWU.
