The Ontario Labor Ministry is investigating an alleged industrial accident that took place on the set of Beast Games, an Amazon Prime series produced by YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast.” According to a report from CP24, the incident occurred on September 11, 2024, at a filming location in Toronto. A 6×6-foot wooden piece fell from a tower built within a miniature village, injuring a crew member, who is still hospitalized.
The ministry has confirmed that safety requirements were issued to Blink 49 Studios and Manhattan Beach Studios, the production companies behind Beast Games. However, details surrounding the incident remain under wraps as the investigation is ongoing. The severity of the crew member’s injuries has not been revealed.
This investigation comes amid previous reports raising concerns about safety on the Beast Games set. Journalist Steven Asarch cited similar allegations in a Rolling Stone article, and YouTuber Rosanna Pansino has suggested that more revelations about the production’s working conditions could emerge.
Mr. Beast, in response to earlier accusations, addressed some of these concerns in a behind-the-scenes video released in December 2024. He denied claims about broken bones and hush money, stressing that many of the circulating rumors regarding the show’s conditions were inaccurate. Despite this, the ongoing investigation has added fuel to the scrutiny surrounding Beast Games, amplifying questions about the show’s safety measures and working conditions.
As of now, Mr. Beast has not publicly commented on the Ontario Labor Ministry’s investigation. The incident and subsequent probe have heightened concerns about the production practices on Beast Games, raising further doubts about safety protocols on the set of the high-profile series.
