The government is set to restart the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme, aiming to distribute 100,000 laptops to deserving students across Pakistan. This initiative, part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), is designed to help students access technology for education and research.
Who Can Apply?
Students enrolled in public sector universities and degree-awarding institutes, including those from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, are eligible. The scheme particularly supports students with good academic performance, encouraging them to enhance their research and learning capabilities.
Punjab CM Laptop Scheme
Alongside the federal initiative, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Honhaar Scholarship and CM Laptop Scheme. Under this program, 40,000 laptops will be given to students securing more than 65% marks. Recently, Rs. 201.19 million in scholarships were also distributed to 4,690 students in Faisalabad.
