Among the big names up for selection are international cricket stars like Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, David Warner, Shakib Al Hasan, Alex Hales, and Alex Carey.

All six PSL franchises—Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, and Peshawar Zalmi—have also announced their retention lists. Alongside Williamson and Southee, other top New Zealand players like Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Finn Allen, Jimmy Neesham, Mark Chapman, and Michael Bracewell are expected to draw attention from the teams.

Australia will have the largest presence in the overseas Platinum category, with 13 players, including ICC T20 World Cup 2021 champions Ashton Agar, David Warner, and Daniel Sams.
