Sindh Minister Dismisses CM Change Rumors

Nasir Hussain Shah, the Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development in Sindh, has addressed the recent rumours regarding the potential replacement of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. Speaking to the media in Karachi on Thursday, Hussain dismissed these reports, calling them “baseless” and reaffirmed that Murad Ali Shah would remain the Chief Minister of Sindh until 2029.

Shah took the opportunity to highlight the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions in Sindh, particularly focusing on providing affordable electricity to the people. He also assured that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has committed to tackling gas load shedding and addressing disruptions in gas supply across the province.

“We are actively working to improve the situation in Karachi, and we have already made some progress. However, there is still more work to be done,” Shah remarked. He also discussed the government’s initiatives to enhance the city’s infrastructure, particularly in terms of road development. Shah emphasized that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed efforts to improve Karachi’s road network, which is seen as crucial for the city’s development.

Furthermore, the Minister mentioned plans for a motorway linking Karachi to Sukkur, which he hopes will be included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). He expressed optimism about the project, stating that it would contribute significantly to Sindh’s connectivity and economic growth.

Shah’s comments aim to reassure the public about the stability of Sindh’s leadership and the ongoing efforts to address critical issues such as energy, infrastructure, and transportation, all of which are vital for the province’s progress.
