CM Sohail Afridi Bold Call to Crush Terrorism

Chief Minister of KP Sohail Afridi exclaimed that anyone involved in targeting security personnel is a terrorist!

In the strongest and most unequivocal terms, Chief Minister of KP Sohail Afridi made it known across Pakistan that anyone involved in targeting security personnel is, without question, a terrorist. He issued this statement during a media interaction in Islamabad, where he put great emphasis on the provincial government’s unrelenting resolve to eradicate terrorism from the region once and for all.

A Force Prepared for the Frontlines

Afridi said that he had full confidence in the capabilities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, whose personnel are not only professionally trained but also experienced in dealing with evolving terror threats. The administration had already approved the purchase of new, modern equipment that aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. This, he said, is a necessity for allowing officers to respond swiftly and effectively against threats both within urban and rural settings.

The chief minister said that as the province has remained at the forefront of the nation’s war against terrorism, its police have consistently shown resilience and bravery. “We owe it to our jawans to provide them with every tool necessary for their safety and victory,” Mr Afridi said.

Introduction: Federal Dues and the Fight for Development

He did not shy away from talking about administrative challenges either. He emphasized that if the federal government cleared the dues owed to KP, the latter could massively accelerate development in core areas like healthcare, policing, and infrastructure. Lack of funds, according to him, is one of the reasons that decelerates development and influences the entire security paradigm.

In a forward-looking announcement, Afridi said a forensic science laboratory would be established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province very soon that would not only revolutionize the criminal investigation mechanism but also reduce their dependence on various federal centers and facilitate quick dispensation of justice.

A Mandate Renewed: Why KP Stands with PTI Again

On the political direction the province is taking, Sohail Afridi said that the people of KP had yet again given a mandate to PTI since it remains the only party to deliver performance. He lauded the current chief secretary and the inspector general of police for their respective leaderships, and wished the latter continued in his role for continuity of policing reforms.

Afridi’s tone exuded confidence but certainly carried responsibility, recognizing the reality that public trust can only be repaid with transparency, performance, and substantive governance.

    Zero Tolerance for Corruption—No Exceptions

Perhaps the strongest statement came when Afridi addressed the charges of corruption in the province. With a firm stance, he invited the federal government to conduct a full audit of KP if needed. He assured that there would be no cover-ups and no favoritism—going as far as to say even if his own brother were found guilty of wrongdoing, he should face punishment.

This was not mere political theater, but a bold declaration of the difference he wants his administration to make in the kind of governance based on accountability, justice, and integrity.

A Province Ready for the Future

From counter-terror preparedness to institutional transparency, Afridi’s statements mirror a province trying to forge ahead while facing enduring challenges. In loud and clear words: KP will not yield to terrorism nor to the derailment of governance.

As the province further shores up its security apparatus and invests in modernization, Afridi’s leadership signals a renewed commitment toward the building of a safer, more resilient Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
